I had flown in from Scotland and England earlier that day. Exhausted, but pulled off playing Scottish music for the night.

In Glen Ellyn at College of DuPage. 

Three Concerts. 2 pm, 6 pm, 10 pm. The performers got dresser as the night progressed. The audiences got drunker.

A Church in McHenry, IL on December 20, 2015.
It's amazing how small churches away from big cities can pack people in. Standing room only. They did a pass the plate fundraiser for their upcoming choir trip and wanted to make $3000. They made over $6000. Hardly a dry eye in the place.
I really liked the snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.

I did not take this one from my seat, but of my seat.
Midwest Band and Orchestra conference. Morning of December 19th, 2015. Way bigger crowd then I expected as it was the last thing of the conference and I assumed most people would have gone home.
We played Nutcracker, Enigma, and a tuba concerto with 4 and a half soloists. Three from civic alternated phrases, CSO tuba played the second movements, and they had recordings of Arnold Jacobs playing the cadenzas. The front row of important people were crying.

This gig was for a man who basically pays an orchestra a couple times a year so he can live up to his dream of being a conductor. This gig makes me think that the stupid show "Mozart in the Jungle" may not be too far fetched.

Outreach concert with the Orchestra i'm a member of. This was in a high school on the south side. The audience clapped between every movement of the nutcracker and Elgar's Enigma Variations. We like that they enjoyed it, but man does that make a concert feel like it's dragging.
